Sarah Palin quits Alaska Governor’s job but why?

Citizen Palin, the media won't have her to kick around any more right?

Max Blumenthal says it is a pending scandal and nine other reasons

Sarah Palin never ceases to amuse and amaze. Palin forced Dave Letterman to an on camera abject apology two weeks ago. If David Letterman can apologize about his underage sex joke, I can apologize too. Then she steps down from Governor of Alaska with two years to go.

Palin is definitely an attention junkie. Maybe those long months on the campaign trail against Obama were a rush for her and she misses it.

Maybe she’s a light weight. Anyone who repeatedly winks at the camera should not be holding high office.

Max Blumenthal speculates there is a big scandal brewing in Alaska over money.

Blumenthal says federal investigators have seized documents from the business of Spenard Building Supplies, rumored to have done favours for the Palin’s. When their new house was built, SBS supplied the materials gratia, sponsored sporting events connected to the Palins and even employed Sarah Palin in 2004. For their support SBS got statewide, lucrative construction projects.

“On July 1, CBS reported that a story authored by me and journalist David Neiwert for Salon.com in October 2008 about Palin’s ties to a secessionist political party caused her deep personal distress, and provoked a rancorous series of exchanges with her campaign manager, Steve Schmidt. Coupled with a withering profile of Palin published in the August 2009 issue of Vanity Fair, the new round of exposés may have been too much for Palin to stomach.

Palin may have resigned from politics altogether. According to NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, Palin “has told some of her biggest backers in the national Republican Party that they are free to choose other candidates for 2012.” But those choices are dwindling at a surprisingly rapid pace.” Max Blumenthal The Daily Beast
